National Substitute Teacher Appreciation Week: May 6 – 10, 2024
National Substitute Teacher Appreciation Week (SubWeek) will be May 6-10, 2024. School districts around the nation regularly show appreciation to their substitute teachers, but in May, there will be a special focus on recognizing all of the work substitute teachers do to keep the learning going in the absence of the permanent teacher.
Substitute teachers walk into classrooms each day across the nation unsure of what material they are going to teach, or what students they are going to be interacting with. They are unsung heroes of education.
STEDI.org is eager to help shine the light on the efforts made by good people to serve the students and teachers in their community.
